Hana Soukupová (born December 18, 1985) is a Czech supermodel.
Soukupová was born in Karlovy Vary, Czechoslovakia (now in the Czech Republic). Because of her height, she began playing basketball for local team. Soukupová has begun to work as a model in Prague when she was 13. Ever since then Hana has become one of the world's most busiest models. Soukupová is currently ranked number fifteen on models.com.
In September 2004, Soukupová was selected as one of only nine top models to appear on the cover of American Vogue in an issue that examined supermodels today versus supermodels of the 80's and 90's heyday. Others included Daria Werbowy, Gemma Ward, Gisele Bündchen, and KarolÃna Kurková. She is also featured in other editions of Vogue such as Italian Vogue and in Nippon Vogue and also on the covers of Harpers Bazaar, ELLE, Spur, and W.
Soukupová is represented by DNA Model Management in New York, Viva Models in Paris, and Why Not Models in Milan. Besides being a model, Soukupová likes to stay in shape by punishing the punching bag she has installed in her in her Brooklyn apartment. In her free time she indulges in her artistic side by attending pottery classes in Chelsea.
Soukupová has modeled for Gucci, BVLGARI, Escada, Balenciaga, Max Mara, Tse, Dior, Jill Stuart, Carolina Herrera, and Versace. She is currently the face of Gucci Envy and the Japanese cosmetics company Beaute de Kose. She also appeared in the 2006 Victoria's Secret fashion show. Soukupová has walked down the runways for designers such as Chanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Ralph Lauren, Anna Sui, Balenciaga, Valentino, Fendi, Chloe, Gucci, Zac Posen, Celine, Bill Blass, Michael Kors, Narcisco Rodriguez, Roberto Cavalli, Lanvin, Hermes, John Galliano, Missoni, Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Yves Saint Laurent, Lagerfeld Gallery, Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Emanuel Ungaro, Donna Karen, and many more. She has also done Haute Couture for Christian Dior, Chanel, Givenchy, Armani Prive, Valentino, Christian Lacroix, Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier, Elie Saab, and Ungaro Couture.
She is married to Drew Aaron, a resident New Yorker and the President of The Aaron Group. Currently she resides in New York with her husband.
